FCC launches new blog

By Kim Hart - 10/14/09 12:55 PM ET

Want to get a better idea of what FCC engineers, bureau chiefs and even the chairman himself think about the Internet and how to keep it open?

The agency just launched a new "Open Internet" blog. It's latest post is by chief technologist, Jon Peha, who is an expert on spectrum and network management issues, invited engineers to give their thoughts. They'd probably welcome input from policy wonks and techie consumers as well.

Take a look.

At the same time, the Sunlight Foundation has made a mock-up of a new design for the FCC's Web site, which few would dispute needs a serious overhaul. Even those of us who use the current site on a daily basis have trouble navigating it.
