AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka said Tuesday that “it don’t get no better” than Sen. Elizabeth WarrenElizabeth WarrenWasserman Schultz: 'Sometimes you just have to take one for the team' Chelsea Clinton's big moment Kaine as Clinton's VP pick sells out progressive wing of party MORE (D-Mass.) when it comes to possible holders of the Oval Office.
“In my opinion she is the prototype of a person we would want to be president of the United States,” Trumka wrote of Warren in a Reddit “Ask Me Anything” session Tuesday. “She has a very well defined set of values and unlike many politicians, she actually sticks by those values and fights to implement them. "I'm not running for president and I plan to serve out my term," Warren said in December.
She has also signed a letter urging Hillary Clinton to run for president.
Trumka campaigned for Warren during her 2012 race against then-Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.). He tried to counteract Brown’s appeal to working class men.
