Democrats have been outspoken in their condemnation of Trump's rhetoric when it comes to race, but de Blasio may be the only major figure in the party to be so blunt in his criticism.
Clinton was asked in a recent debate if she thought Trump is a racist. She responded by condemning his rhetoric as "offensive" but declined to give a definitive answer.
