"I learned in life to never say never about all kinds of things," the former Republican presidential candidate said in an interview on WABC Radio's “Election Central with Rita Cosby." "I didn't think I'd run for president, either, but I did."

Fiorina dropped out of the race after a poor showing in the Iowa caucuses and has since been one of Cruz's strongest surrogates.

She said she's flattered by talk of her being the Texas senator's pick for vice president, but she is focusing on making sure he gets the nomination.

"I am flattered by it, but I think one of the problems with this election is that we're always jumping ahead," Fiorina said. "No one would have predicted where we are right now, and I don't think anyone can predict where this is going.
