The center-right group American Action Network is making a major ad buy on Fox News to make the case to conservatives why immigration reform needs to happen, using clips of Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) arguing that that the current system allows for "de facto amnesty."

Former South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford (R) sticks to his message of fiscal conservatism and frames the May 7 House special election as a nationalized battle "for the direction of our country" in his final campaign ad, ignoring his Democratic opponent and ripping House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) instead.

Former South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford (R) went on the attack Tuesday for the first time in his House campaign against Elizabeth Colbert Busch, accusing his Democratic opponent in a new ad of being a shill for "big labor."

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) said Wednesday he might continue to support a controversial gun-owners’ rights group despite taking heat from from Republican colleagues.

Paul recently signed a fundraising letter for the National Association for Gun Rights, which has run television and radio ads accusing Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) of teaming up with liberal Democrats to push gun-control legislation.

Paul distanced himself from the group, but said he might continue to help with its fundraising.

“I have signed fundraising letters for them. I don’t have a connection with the group. It’s illegal for me to have a direct connection with the group or talk about what ads they run or not,” said Paul. “I can make a decision in the future over whether I’ll continue to do it, and I haven’t come to a conclusion or thought that through yet.”

A group backed by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg (I) is up with TV ads slamming Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) for his opposition to expanding background checks on gun purchasers.
