Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney's latest ad accuses President Obama of "raiding" Medicare to pay for the president's signature healthcare law. The new ad, titled "Nothing's Free," continues Romney's effort to ensure Medicare is a problem for Obama and not for the Republican ticket, which includes a vice presidential candidate who has endorsed a significant overhaul of Medicare. Romney argues the Obama healthcare law would shift funds away from Medicare.

New TV advertisements in Washington, D.C., and Virginia will paint GOP Virginia Senate candidate George Allen as beholden to oil-and-gas interests.
Liberal groups Majority PAC and the League of Conservation Voters are funding the $1.6 million campaign against Allen, a former Virginia senator running against former Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine (D). The ads decry Allen’s haul of more than $500,000 in campaign contributions in three previous elections from the oil and gas industry and his links to Republican strategist Karl Rove. YG Action Fund, a super-PAC started by former aides to House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.), is spending $5.5 million in 12 House districts over the next few months to support candidates considered Young Guns, the National Republican Congressional Committee's list of rising GOP stars.
The super-PAC is supporting Republican candidates Adam Hastner in Florida's 22nd district, Jason Plummer in Illinois's 12th district, Jackie Walorski in Indiana's 2nd district, Kim Vann in California's 3rd district, David Valadao in California's 21st district, David Rouzer and Richard Hudson in North Carolina's 7th and 8th districts, respectively, Keith Rothfus in Pennsylvania's 12th district and Richard Tisei in Massachusetts's 6th district.
YG Action Fund will also be spending to keep charter Young Guns members Reps. Joe Heck (R-Nev.), Frank Guinta (R-N.H.) and Robert Hurt (R-Va.) in office.

Rep. Connie Mack (R-Fla.) released a new campaign ad on Thursday blasting Sen. Bill Nelson (D-Fla.) for running an ad against Mack that highlights Mack's past work for a management company that owned several Hooters restaurants in Florida. Mack is trying to win Nelson's Senate seat this year.
Mack's ad, titled "What Matters," says he wants to talk about issues that matter to Americans, while Nelson "wants to talk about Hooters and what I did as a kid."
