Romney continues 'day one' theme in new television spot

By Justin Sink

Mitt Romney's campaign released a new television ad Friday, sticking to the theme developed in the first two commercials of the general election: what "day one" of a Romney presidency would look like.

In the new ad, a narrator argues that from his first day in the Oval Office, Romney would "put jobs first."

"President Romney focuses on the economy and the deficit, unleashes America’s energy resources and stands up to China on trade," a narrator says.

Super-PAC ad calls Romney hypocrite on Solyndra criticism

By Justin Sink

A prominent liberal super-PAC is accusing Mitt Romney of hypocrisy after the Republican presidential nominee said that shuttered green-energy company Solyndra was an example of "crony capitalism."

Romney made the remarks Thursday outside the plant of the bankrupt solar panel manufacturer, which defaulted on more than $500 million in government-backed loans late last year.

"This building, this half-a-billion-dollar taxpayer investment, represents a serious conflict of interest on the part of the president and his team," Romney said, according to CNN.

Liberal group's ad hits GOP Sen. Heller for Wall Street ties

By Cameron Joseph

The liberal outside group Patriot Majority is up with an ad attacking Sen. Dean Heller (R-Nev.) for his ties to Wall Street.

"Before Wall Street gave him $200,000 in campaign cash, before he voted to let banks' CEOs take millions in taxpayer-funded bonuses, Dean Heller was a stockbroker," the ad's narrator says. "No wonder he voted against Wall Street reform, against holding the big banks accountable. Heller even voted to risk your Social Security here in the stock market. Dean Heller — he votes like he still works for Wall Street, and that's bad for you."
