Green group denies funding Montana Senate ad

An environmental group backing Sen. Jon Tester’s (D-Mont.) reelection bid is denying claims that it financed an advertisement promoting a third-party candidate in the Montana Senate race.

The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) said Monday it had nothing to do with a $500,000 TV spot that advocated for Libertarian candidate Dan Cox. The advertisement slams GOP candidate Rep. Denny Rehberg, who is challenging Tester.
