The National Republican Senatorial Committee outraised its Democratic counterpart by about a half-million dollars in October, but Democrats have more money in the bank one year out from the 2012 elections.

The NRSC raised $3.3 million in October to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee's $2.8 million. Republicans also spent about $2 million, while the Democrats spent almost $2.8 million.

Democrats have almost $11 million cash on hand, while the Republicans have just over $8 million to work with.

Both party committees are in good shape on the debt front. The DSCC owes about three-quarters of a million dollars, while the NRSC is debt-free.
