Obama campaign reports $119M, no debt

By Alicia M. Cohn - 05/18/12 05:41 PM ET

President Obama’s re-election campaign ended the month of April with $119.5 million cash on hand and no debt, according to financial disclosures filed Friday afternoon.

Federal Election Commission documents show also show that the Obama Victory Fund, a joint committee shared by Obama’s campaign, the Democratic National Committee and several Democratic state parties, had $4.9 million cash on hand at the end of the month, with no debt.

Obama’s totals dwarf the $61.4 million cash on hand previously announced by Mitt Romney’s campaign.

The Obama campaign previously reported raising $43.6 million for the Democratic Party and his reelection campaign in April, compared to $40.1 million raised by Romney, his likely GOP opponent and the Republican National Committee.
