Mitt Romney's campaign seized on the brewing controversy surrounding a lavish Las Vegas retreat for the Government Services Administration, saying in a statement Friday that the "disgraceful GSA scandal shows [the] Obama administration's spending hypocrisy."
"The GSA spending scandal is the latest example of the Obama Administration's total disregard for spending discipline and taxpayer dollars," the campaign continued. "While his administration gleefully uses the Treasury as a piggy bank, President Obama continues to launch false and misleading attack on proposals to rein in federal spending."
The 2010 conference for 300 GSA employees cost more than $800,000 and featured entertainment from clowns and mind readers. Commemorative coins that cost thousands of dollars to manufacture were distributed, and participants enjoyed $7,000 worth of sushi at one meal.

GOP presidential front-runner Mitt Romney agreed with President Obama on Thursday, saying “of course” women should be allowed membership in the Georgia golf club currently hosting the PGA Masters golf tournament. Obama also thinks women should be allowed membership in Georgia’s Augusta National Golf Club, the White House press secretary said earlier in the day.

Mitt Romney said Thursday that he would defeat President Obama in the "critical" state of Pennsylvania in the fall, even while tempering expectations for his performance in the Keystone State's Republican primary later this month.
“I do believe that I will win Pennsylvania in the fall, and winning Pennsylvania wins the White House, so it’s a critical state for me,” Romney told volunteers and staff at his Harrisburg, Pa., campaign headquarters, according to ABC News.
"The reason that's going to happen, by the way, is that the people of Pennsylvania have taken a good look at conservative leadership. They've seen your senator, Pat Toomey, they've seen your governor, they've seen that conservative leaders are the people who will help grow the middle class," Romney added.
