New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie’s conservative bona fides are coming under attack from the right. 

Mitt Romney will win the 1,144 delegates needed to secure the nomination for president with an easy victory in Texas.

Mitt Romney looked to pivot back to economic issues ahead of his highly anticipated fundraiser with Donald Trump Tuesday, campaigning in swing-state Nevada and continuing to hammer the president on his economic policies.

"It's entirely possible that late in the evening of Nov. 6, the nation is going to be wondering what's going to happen in Nevada," Romney told a Las Vegas audience.

As with other campaign stops this month, Romney appeared with a top Republican thought to be on the presumptive nominee's short list for potential running mates. Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval (R) introduced Romney as "the right person at the right time."

Mitt Romney this week fought back on critics’ description of him as an aloof corporate raider by denying that Americans resent him for being successful.

“[We’re] not a nation that divides people based upon whether they’ve been successful or not,” he told Fox News in an interview set to air Wednesday on “America’s Newsroom.”

“We don’t say, 'Oh, boy, this person won the lottery and therefore they can’t understand me,' " he continued. “We instead look at people and celebrate their success and their achievement, and we look for people who have the skills we think will make our lives better.”

He also described himself as “just a kid that wants to make a difference for America.”

"He's never had a job in the free economy," Romney said in response to Obama attacks on his Bain tenure.

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) looked to downplay the growing Democratic advantage among Latino voters Thursday, attributing the 34 percentage point gap in a Telemundo poll released earlier this week to "historic factors in place."

Romney’s new commercial continues to outline his "day one" goals, saying he would attack the deficit and regulations.

The former secretary of State raised concerns about Mitt Romney's foreign-policy team while praising President Obama's plans for Afghanistan.

Mitt Romney won the Arkansas Republican presidential primary on Tuesday, pushing him closer to the 1,144 delegates he needs to clinch the Republican nomination.

The Associated Press projected Romney's victory shortly after the polls closed at 9 p.m. ET.

There were 36 delegates at stake in the Arkansas primary, and another 45 in Kentucky, which also held its primary on Tuesday. Romney won both contests, and will take the bulk of the delegates in each state.
