Democrat Terry McAuliffe has a comfortable lead over Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli (R) in two new polls released the day before Virginia voters head to the polls.

McAuliffe leads Cuccinelli by 46 percent to 40 percent in the latest poll from Quinnipiac University, and has a 50 percent to 43 percent lead in the latest poll from Democratic firm Public Policy Polling.

Those results are consistent with most other polling of the race showing McAuliffe has a lead in the mid- to high-single digits in the swing state. He's led in nearly all polling of the race since mid-summer.

Both polls were concluded on Sunday. Quinnipiac surveyed 1,066 likely voters from Oct. 29 through Nov. 3 with a margin of error of plus or minus 2.5 percentage points, while PPP surveyed 870 likely voters on Nov. 2-3 and has a margin of error of 3.3 percentage points.
