A liberal political group announced Saturday that it’s sending more funds into Wisconsin for the effort to remove Gov. Scott Walker (R) from office.

The Progressive Change Campaign Committee (PCCC) said it has put another $100,000 into the state’s recall aimed at the governor. Removing Walker has become a top priority for Democrats and the labor movement after he faced off with unions last year when he pushed through legislation that limited public workers’ collective bargaining rights.

The PCCC’s latest installment of funds for the Wisconsin recall brings its total contribution to $300,000 for the effort, which has included donations to the Wisconsin Democratic Party as well as spending on television and online ads.

Polls have been tight in the state, with Walker often in a slight lead against his Democratic challenger, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett. The recall election is Tuesday, June 5.
