La. Republican uses babies in latest TV ad

Louisiana's 3rd district is still deciding on its GOP nominee to face Democrat Ravi Sangisetty.

The August primary in Rep. Charlie Melancon's (D-La.) district went to a runoff and Republicans Jeff Landry and Hunt Downer have been fighting over who's more conservative ever since.

Landry was just shy of clinching the nod in the primary and is considered the front-runner in the runoff. But Downer is fighting back – with babies. His new TV spot uses footage of several adorable infants while hitting Landry for not being solidly anti-abortion.

Melancon is leaving his seat to run for Senate against Sen. David Vitter (R-La.).
