Mich. Republican asks mom for help on Social Security

Democrats have been hammering Republicans this cycle for their positions on Social Security.
In the grudge match brewing in Michigan's 7th district for instance, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, unions and Rep. Mark Schauer (D) have all hit Republican Tim Walberg for supporting a "risky plan to privatize Social Security" or for calling the program "socialism."
In his latest TV ad responding to the allegations, Walberg called in his own mother to help bolster his defense. Other Republican candidates under fire on the issue could take notice.
