Ohio Rep. Mary Jo Kilroy (D-Ohio) is up with a TV ad refuting her Republican opponent's claim that she helped create jobs in China.

"How dare Steve Stivers question Mary Jo Kilroy's patriotism," the announcer says in Kilroy's ad.

Her camp had earlier complained to the Ohio Elections Commission about Stivers's spot, saying it was disseminating "false" statements because it accuses Kilroy of helping to create jobs in China by voting for the stimulus bill.

The Stivers camp refused to take the ad down, calling her complaint "frivolous."

Kilroy's ad, titled "Ludicrous," comes as recent polling has shown her trailing Stivers by 9 percent in a district President Obama carried by 9 points in 2008. In The Hill 2010 Midterm Election Poll, 91 percent of Democrats said they approve of the president's performance, 59 percent of independents disapprove — the same voters who are backing Stivers by almost a 2-to-1 margin.
