GOP freshmen form joint fundraising committee

Twelve House Republicans have registered a joint fundraising committee called Freshman Class JFC, according to public documents.

Lawmakers taking part in the venture include Reps. Sandy Adams (Fla.), Francisco Canseco (Texas), Rick Crawford (Ark.), Bob Dold (Ill.), Sean Duffy (Wis.) and Stephen Fincher (Tenn.), Federal Election Commission documents show.

Reps. Mike Fitzpatrick (Pa.), Cory Gardner (Colo.), Michael Grimm (N.Y.), Nan Hayworth (N.Y.), Jim Renacci (Ohio) and Daniel Webster (Fla.) are also members of the committee.

Of those 12, the nonpartisan Cook Reports only lists four of them as either in tossup or Republican-leaning races: Canseco, Duffy, Fitzpatrick, and Renacci.

But for freshman lawmakers who sometimes struggle for attention — and campaign funds — banding together can expand members' fundraising base and bring in additional cash.

The committee lists Lisa Lisker, president of political accounting firm Huckaby Davis Lisker, as its treasurer. She is based out of Alexandria, Va.

The documents filed with the commission were signed Dec. 1.
