President Obama will attend Democratic events next week during a two-day trip to Texas.

On Wednesday, he will attend two events in Houston hosted by the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

Details of the events were not available on Friday afternoon.

Since last year, Obama and the first lady have both gone on trips around the country to headline 2014 fundraisers for Democrats in Congress hosted by both campaign committees.

Earlier this week, Assistant Democratic House Leader James Clyburn (D-S.C.) said the White House needs to do more to help House Democrats in this year’s midterm elections and suggested Organizing for Action should step in and help mobilize Democratic voters. OFA is President Obama’s political fundraising arm.

Clyburn said he feels “pretty good” about Democrats’ chances in gubernatorial and Senate races.

There is concern, however, about the party’s ability to hold onto the majority in the Senate. If Republicans win six seats in competitive races, they could take control of the upper chamber.
