Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.) will be accompanied by the Democrat running to replace her on Tuesday as she casts her ballot in the special election.

Democrat Ron Barber's campaign said Monday that he would be at Giffords's side when she goes Tuesday morning to her local precinct, located at St. Cyril's Catholic church in Tucson, Ariz.

Although Giffords asked Barber — her former district director — to run to replace her and endorsed his campaign as soon as it was announced, she didn't appear publicly on his behalf until the final week of the campaign. Giffords attended a concert and rally for Barber on Saturday, and met Sunday with volunteers at Barber's campaign headquarters.
