House Majority PAC raises $4.3M in quarter

By Cameron Joseph - 07/10/12 12:18 PM ET

The House Majority PAC, a Democratic-aligned super-PAC focused on House races, raised $4.3 million in the last three months, it announced Tuesday.

The sum is an improvement over the last fundraising quarter, when the group brought in $1.5 million. But it, like many other Democratic outside groups, will be hard-pressed to keep pace with GOP counterparts, and will have to pick and choose which tight races to get involved in.

While the GOP-aligned American Action Network has yet to say how much it raised this quarter, the group committed earlier this week to spending $10 million alone on ground operations in House races outside of the presidential battleground states, a sign that spending from it and other conservative groups is likely to dwarf the funds from the House Majority PAC.
