Republican Walorski claims Indiana House seat

By Elise Viebeck - 11/07/12 03:12 AM ET

Republican Jackie Walorski will fill the Indiana House seat vacated by Sen.-elect Joe Donnelly (D), according to The Associated Press.

Walorski claimed 49 percent of the vote, compared with the 48 percent garnered by her Democratic opponent, Brendan Mullen. Libertarian Joseph Ruiz received 3 percent.

YG Action Fund, a super-PAC launched by former House Republican aides, spent money in support of Walorski, a former state representative.
