Freshman Rep. Denham wins reelection

Freshman Republican Rep. Jeff Denham, a top Democratic target, won reelection.
Denham led Democrat Jose Hernandez by 54 percent to 46, with 94 percent of precincts reporting early Wednesday. The Associated Press had called the race.
The redistricting process had put Denham in a district that leaned stronger Democratic, which gave that party hopes he could be toppled.
