McIntyre, who won reelection in a heavily Republican district by less than one percentage point last year, has $524,000 in the bank for his reelection campaign.

The longtime congressman has never been a prolific fundraiser, partly due to his centrist profile making it harder to bring in money from traditional Democratic donors. The third-quarter haul is a drop-off from the $236,000 he brought in the quarter before. He has shown an ability to win tough races, however.

McIntyre is facing a rematch against the man he beat in 2012, former state Sen. David Rouzer (R), in a district President Obama lost by 20 percentage points.
