Another former U.S. attorney in Pennsylvania

Rep. Jason Altmire (D-Pa.) has a race on his hands, now that former U.S. Attorney Mary Beth Buchanan (R) is making her campaign official.

Buchanan has officially filed for a campaign committee.

She still faces some primary challengers, but she is the favorite to face Altmire in the fall. Altmire has beaten former Rep. Melissa Hart (R-Pa.) in each of the last two cycles, and represents a 55-44 McCain district.

Buchanan joins two other former U.S. attorneys — Pat Meehan on the 7th district and Tom Marino in Rep. Chris Carney's (D-Pa.) district — in filling out the GOP congressional ballot in the state.
