Jobs bill forces few crossovers

By Aaron Blake - 03/04/10 05:33 PM ET

The jobs bill passed in the House this afternoon with little crossover from vulnerable members.

The bill passed 217-201. Though 35 Democrats voted against it, the majority of them came from the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC), which unified against the bill.

In fact, only five Democrats at risk of losing their seats this year voted against their party: Reps. Steve Driehaus (Ohio), Ann Kirkpatrick (Ariz.), Harry Mitchell (Ariz.), Tom Perriello (Va.) and Kurt Schrader (Ore.).

Six total Republicans crossed over, to vote yes, with Reps. Joseph Cao (La.) and Don Young (Alaska) the only ones facing potentially tough reelection battles.
