Boucher can't stomach Medicare cuts

Add Rep. Rick Boucher (D-Va.) to the list of vulnerable Democrats expressing serious worries about the healthcare bill.

Boucher told a local paper this weekend that he can't stomach the cuts to Medicare or the backroom deals like the so-called "Cornhusker Kickback."

"I simply cannot support legislation that contains those unwarranted giveaways to a select few states at the expense of the others," Boucher told the Kingsport Times-News. "Until I have the opportunity to review the legislation I cannot comment further. But I tell you I will review it with Southwest Virginia’s needs in mind whereby health care delivery and access to health care in Southwest Virginia is improved."

Boucher was a 'no' in November.
