A new poll of Iowa voters shows Herman Cain maintaining support among Republicans in the state, leading Newt Gingrich, who has been surging in recent polls, by a 22 percent to 18 percent margin. Mitt Romney rounds out the top three with support from 15 percent of those surveyed, according to a We Ask America poll released Monday.
Michele Bachmann and Ron Paul also cracked double digits, each receiving 11 percent of the vote. Rick Perry led the remainder of the field with just 4 percent, while Rick Santorum (3 percent) and Jon Huntsman (2 percent) brought up the rear.
The We Ask America findings contrast with an Insider Advantage poll released Sunday that showed the former Godfather's Pizza CEO leading with 30 percent of respondents and Gingrich in third with 12 percent of supporters. But Insider Advantage found Romney with an identical 15 percent of support.

President Obama leads all potential Republican rivals in Pennsylvania, according to a poll released on Thursday.
The Franklin and Marshall College poll found that despite a negative job rating in the state, the president holds a considerable lead in hypothetical matchups against Mitt Romney, Rick Perry, Herman Cain and Rick Santorum.
Obama took 35 percent of the support against Mitt Romney’s 26 percent. Rick Santorum was the next closest, trailing the president 38 percent to 25 percent, and Herman Cain’s numbers were similar – 38 percent to 24 percent.
Rick Perry fared the worst, losing to the president 40 percent to 20 percent.
Still, the poll indicates that the president is vulnerable in the Keystone State. Twenty-six to 30 percent of Pennsylvania voters remain undecided, despite the fact that Democrats there hold a considerable advantage over Republicans in voter registration.
Only 37 percent rated the president’s performance as “excellent” or “good,” 52 percent said it was a time for a change in the White House, and only 42 percent said Obama deserves to be reelected.
Obama took 54.7 percent of the vote in the 2008 presidential election.

Businessman Herman Cain beats former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney in a head-to-head matchup for the presidency, according to a new poll. The Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday found that Cain leads Romney 47 percent to 39 percent in a head-to-head matchup. Additionally, Cain is the front-runner generally in the Republican primary presidential field. Quinnipiac found that Cain leads the field with 30 percent of Republican voters, followed by Romney with 23 percent, Newt Gingrich with 10 percent and Rick Perry at 8 percent. The rest of the field fails to win more than 7 percent, according to the poll.

Selecting Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) for a running mate would give the Republican presidential candidate a significant edge among GOP voters in Florida, a new survey found Tuesday. Any Republican candidate who added Rubio to his ticket would win 46 percent in Florida, leading President Obama with 41 percent, according to the poll of registered voters in Florida by Suffolk University and Miami's WSVN7 News.

A majority of Texans say Rick Perry is not responsible for the state’s outperforming economy, according to a University of Texas-Texas Tribune poll released on Tuesday. Since announcing his candidacy for president, the governor has argued that his stewardship of the Texas economy through the recession kept it from slowing as dramatically as other states.
Voters in his home state aren’t buying it.
Sixty-five percent credited “long-standing policies and natural resources” for Texas’s success, while only 21 percent said it was Perry’s leadership and policies that deserved credit.
