Perry announces campaign team

Texas Gov. Rick Perry announced his campaign team Friday, with many old allies from Texas on board. His campaign manager will be Rob Johnson, a senior Perry adviser who ran his 2010 reelection campaign.

Other longtime Perry allies joining the campaign include Wayne Hamilton, a consultant and former Texas GOP executive director, who will be Perry's political director, and Deirdre Delisi, a former Perry chief of staff who will serve as policy and strategy director. Delisi was also a policy adviser on President George W. Bush's first election campaign.

Ray Sullivan, Perry's most recent chief of staff, will be his communications director, while longtime Perry spokesman Mark Miner will serve as his press secretary.
