The two dined in Midtown New York City on Friday, according to the New York Post.

Wintour was a major donor to President Obama's campaigns in 2008 and 2012 and cut a Web ad for the president during his reelection campaign. She was a major Clinton backer during Clinton's 2000 Senate run but became a critic during Clinton's presidential campaign in 2008.

Earlier this year at an event in Arkansas, she heaped praise on the former secretary of State and hinted at an endorsement should Clinton run for president in 2016.

"I can only hope that all of you here in Little Rock will be celebrating her come November 2016," Wintour said at the event.
