Mitt Romney is heading back to Wisconsin on Monday night, the first time he's visited the swing state since the day after he announced Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) would be his running mate, which was in mid-August.
Romney will attend a victory rally in West Allis, a Milwaukee suburb, his campaign announced.
Most recent polls have shown President Obama with a narrow edge in the state. No GOP presidential candidate has carried Wisconsin since 1984,
though President George W. Bush came very close in both 2000 and 2004.
The former Massachusetts governor has largely delegated campaigning in the state to Ryan, and his trip there is a sign that the campaign may be increasing its focus on the state.
