Beau Biden hopes his dad considers 2016 presidential run
Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden (D) said he thinks his father, Vice President Joe Biden, will consider running for president in 2016 — and hopes he gives the decision a good look.
"In a couple years, I think he's going to take a hard look at it," Beau Biden said on MSNBC. "I hope he does."
Biden oversaw the White House working group on gun violence, presenting his recommendations to the president earlier this month. He was also a key player in reaching a last-minute deal with Republicans to avoid the "fiscal cliff."
Biden has recently made moves that suggest he could take another shot at the presidency, which he ran for in 1988 and 2008.
He attended the Iowa State Society's inaugural ball this past weekend, a good way to ingratiate himself with those from the key early-voting state, and on Tuesday stopped by the Democratic National Committee's winter meeting for a closed-door speech to delegates.
On Election Day last November, Biden also joked with reporters, telling them he didn't believe it was the last time he would cast a vote for himself.
