Palin to keynote Susan B. Anthony List event

Sarah Palin will be the featured speaker at a May event hosted by the Susan B. Athony List.

Palin will keynote the anti-abortion rights group's annual Celebration of Life Breakfast at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington on May 14.

“Susan B. Anthony would be proud of Gov. Palin’s consistent, passionate witness for women and the unborn, and especially her commitment to the families of children with special needs,” Susan B. Anthony List President Marjorie Dannenfelser said. “Gov. Palin is the modern personification of the authentic leadership modeled by early women’s rights trailblazers like Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton. Our nation’s earliest women leaders understood that women’s rights could never be advanced at the expense of the broken rights of innocent unborn children."

Palin is in Arizona this week campaigning for her former running mate, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), and she has also laid out 20 House districts where she hopes to play a role in the coming months.

She will be in New Orleans next month for the Southern Republican Leadership Conference, which is seen as the first big meeting of the likely 2012 GOP presidential candidates.
