Romney said President Obama "has paid little attention to the everyday concerns of the American people.”

President Obama's deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter on Monday sought to dismiss a presidential fumble from last week by turning attention back to Mitt Romney's personal wealth.

"We would be happy to have a debate about who is out of touch with middle-class Americans with Mitt Romney," she told CNN's "Starting Point." 

The dig about Romney being out of touch with less-wealthy Americans is a favorite from the Obama campaign's arsenal of attacks on the GOP nominee. But Romney was able to flip the script late last week, using the same attack on Obama after the president made a verbal gaffe.

Obama on Friday said the private sector is “doing fine,” but was forced to readdress the comment a few hours later after Republicans pounced on the remark as tone-deaf. 

"Romney's economic plan? He wants to cut jobs for firefighters, police and teachers," the video says.

The commercial pounces on gaffes from Romney to argue the GOP nominee is not sympathetic to the concerns of Hispanic voters. 

In the new Priorities USA ad, a former steel worker says Romney and Bain turned his factory into a "junkyard." 

“I know in my state our reforms allowed us to protect firefighters, police officers and teachers," Walker said Sunday.

The new video, which seeks to capitalize on Obama's gaffe, features American workers sharing their experiences in the economy.

The Obama adviser said the president's tax and jobs plans would help stimulate both the private and public sector.

"I know it hasn’t always been easy," Obama said in a pre-recorded message, touting his record to progressive supporters.

"We want to know from you what's working," said campaign manager Jim Messina in a survey for supporters.
