President Obama's deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter on Monday sought to dismiss a presidential fumble from last week by turning attention back to Mitt Romney's personal wealth. "We would be happy to have a debate about who is out of touch with middle-class Americans with Mitt Romney," she told CNN's "Starting Point." The dig about Romney being out of touch with less-wealthy Americans is a favorite from the Obama campaign's arsenal of attacks on the GOP nominee. But Romney was able to flip the script late last week, using the same attack on Obama after the president made a verbal gaffe. Obama on Friday said the private sector is “doing fine,” but was forced to readdress the comment a few hours later after Republicans pounced on the remark as tone-deaf.
