Pryor is considered Democrats' most vulnerable incumbents, and Republicans are already pouring heavy resources into the Arkansas Senate race to weaken him.
Both Pryor and Cotton have their own sizable war chests, however, and can afford to keep up the air war that is already underway through Election Day.
Pryor in October released an ad attacking Cotton for the government shutdown.
