Sen. Johanns endorses Romney

Mitt Romney continued to roll out major endorsements Wednesday with Sen. Mike Johanns's (R-Neb.).

"The only way we are going to reverse the failures of the last three years is if we have a president who understands the economy," Johanns said in a statement announcing his support. "Mitt Romney applied the principles he learned in the private sector to the challenges he faced leading the Olympics and as fovernor. These same conservative principles can be used to fix our broken government."

Johanns is the 59th Republican member of Congress and 11th senator to endorse Romney, who has far and away the most elected officials backing him. Newt Gingrich, by contrast, has eight congressmen and no senators in his corner.
