DSCC raises $18.1 million in quarter

By Cameron Joseph - 07/19/12 08:50 AM ET

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee raised $18.1 million in the second quarter, it announced Thursday morning.

The haul reported by the DSCC includes $2.5 million raised in the three days following the Supreme Court's decision that upheld Democrats' healthcare law. The group has $31.4 million in the bank.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee has yet to release its numbers. As of the end of May it had $23 million in the bank.

The DSCC has outpaced the NRSC in fundraising for most of the past year, though the former's slight advantage on that front is likely to be more than counterbalanced by the big edge GOP super-PACs will have in spending on down-ballot races this fall.
