The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) raised $5.8 million in July, the best July in the committee's history.

The group now has $32.4 million in the bank, a $1 million increase from a month ago. The National Republican Senatorial Committee, which has not yet released its July fundraising totals, had $24.3 million in the bank at the end of June.

"We just completed the most successful July in the history of the DSCC," crowed DSCC Executive Director Guy Cecil. "Democrats have been outspent, but we have not been outworked, ... A year and a half ago no one gave us a shot, but we are out-raising and out-organizing our competition and today we are optimistic about our chances to keep the majority."
