DSCC launches second ad in Virginia

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is out with a new ad slamming Republican George Allen for his record on women's issues, an attempt to appeal to an important constituency in Virginia's Senate race.

The 30-second spot, the DSCC's second in the state, features a woman named Pamela Howze lamenting Allen's positions as clips outlining his various votes flash on the screen.

The ad says he voted against measures to protect women from discrimination and opposed the rights of women who were sexually assaulted in the workplace.

"George Allen is the last thing we need in Washington," Howze says at the end.

Allen is locked in a tight race with former Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine (D) in a race that Republicans consider one of a handful that could bring them control of the Senate.
