Rehberg brings in $2.4M, out-raises Tester

By Cameron Joseph - 10/08/12 02:32 PM ET

Rep. Denny Rehberg (R-Mont.) brought in $2.4 million in the last three months, his campaign announced Monday afternoon.

Rehberg narrowly out-raised his opponent, Sen. Jon Tester (D-Mont.), who raised $2.3 million during the same period. Rehberg has $1.7 million left in the bank for the final month of the campaign, while Tester has $1.3 million.

Neither side will be hurting for money in the inexpensive state, but Rehberg's edge over the incumbent is the latest positive sign for him. He's held a narrow but steady lead in most polls over the past year, and there have been no signs that Tester has been able to close the gap with him in the Republican-leaning state.
