McFadden has yet to release his total fundraising numbers for the quarter, which ended June 30, or how much he has in cash on hand. While some expect he'll self-fund a portion of his campaign, that total includes just $10,000 from him and his wife, according to a campaign spokesman.
In the first three months of the year he had the largest fundraising haul of any incumbent Democrat, bringing in nearly $2 million for that period. He has approximately that much in the bank as of the end of March.
Recent polls show Franken is in fairly strong shape for reelection in the Democratic-leaning state.
