Begich's haul is a bit of a slowdown from the last few fundraising quarters — he fell just short of $1 million in the previous three months — but shows a steady effort ahead of what could be a tough race.

Alaska Lt. Gov. Mead Treadwell (R) raised less than $200,000 and has $155,000 in the bank for the race, the second quarter in a row where he's struggled to pull in big money. Former Alaska Natural Resources Commissioner Dan Sullivan (R) just entered the race, but has some deep connections to Beltway Republicans and has the makings of a prodigious fundraiser.

Tea Party candidate and 2010 Senate nominee Joe Miller (R) has yet to release his numbers as well, and though he's struggled with fundraising this cycle, has a few hundred thousand dollars left over from his 2010 run.
