Debbie Dingell won't run for Senate, clearing path for Peters

Democratic National Committee member Debbie Dingell won't run for the Senate, clearing the way for Rep. Gary Peters (D-Mich.) to be the Democratic nominee.

Dingell, who's also the wife of Rep. John Dingell (D-Mich.), had been considering a race for retiring Sen. Carl Levin's (D-Mich.) seat. But Peters has all but announced his own bid, and Democrats in the state had been working to avoid a primary between the two of them.

Markey raises $4.8m for Mass Senate race
