The driver who mistakenly followed a Secret Service motorcade onto White House grounds in May had his charges dismissed late last month, according to reports.
Mathew Goldstein, who worked for the Internal Revenue Service, was charged with a misdemeanor in May when he followed a motorcade carrying President Obama's daughters through a restricted area outside the White House.
At the time, the restrictive barriers outside the White House were temporarily lowered so the car carrying Obama's daughters could enter. They could not be raised by the time Goldstein passed over them.
The event put the White House on lockdown for about an hour; the Secret Service said the incident should not have happened and promised to review it.
