The press conference comes after a full day for Trump, who landed in Paris at 8:37 a.m. local time and was scheduled to have lunch with U.S. military leaders at the ambassador's residence, followed by a tour of Les Invalides and meetings with Macron. 

Trump's will attend a Bastille Day celebration on Friday.

Trump and Macron have a tense relationship, marked by a public disagreement over Trump’s decision to pull the U.S. out of the Paris climate accord.
