They’ve already met with each other, Reid confirmed in an interview on MSNBC’s “The Rachel Maddow Show” on Wednesday night.

“We had a meeting. It`s all over with,” he said.

Coburn made the comment at an event Monday at the New York Young Republican Club, the New York Daily News reported.

“There’s no comity with Harry Reid,” Coburn said. “I think he’s an absolute a--hole.”

Host Rachel Maddow asked Reid “What’s going on with Tom Coburn?”

“I don’t know,” Reid said. “I’m sure he didn’t mean it.”

Coburn requested that they both meet after his comment spread.

This wasn’t the first time the conservative senator criticized Reid. Earlier this year, he called Reid a “failure” and that Reid had been “dishonest” with him.

Last year, Coburn also called Reid “incompetent and incapable,” but later apologized.
