Poll: Both parties near record levels of unpopularity
Both political parties are at near-record levels of unpopularity, according to a new Gallup poll.
Democrats have marginally higher favorable ratings than Republicans — 43 percent to 36 percent. But that's little consolation. In the history of the Gallup poll, Democrats have only once had lower favorable ratings than they do now: 41 percent in March 2010.
Republicans, meanwhile, are approaching their record low of 31 percent favorability during the impeachment of Bill Clinton. Gallup started asking about party popularity in 1992.
