Poll: Gore's popularity takes a dive
Al Gore’s popularity among
the public has taken a big hit over the last few years, Gallup
finds.
In 2007, when Gallup last surveyed Americans about Gore, 58 percent had a favorable impression of the former veep.
In a new poll released Wednesday, Gore’s favorables are down to 44 percent, with 48 percent holding an unfavorable view.
Though his public appearances usually focus on global warming, Gore has been in the news recently for some less than flattering reasons: He and his wife announced a separation, and police have begun re-investigating allegations that Gore sexually assaulted a masseuse.
