Dems raise nearly $200 million for 2010 cycle

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) raised almost $200 million in total for the party's 2010 election efforts.

Democrats will report having raised $15.9 million between Oct. 13 and Nov. 22, the period covering the run-up to the election and its immediate aftermath, according to Federal Election Commission (FEC) documents that the party is set to file.

That brings their total haul for this year to date to $119.3 million, and a total of $195.6 million for the cycle.

The party drew down the entirety of its $15 million line of credit, and has an additional $500,000 in debt. The party will report $9.7 million in cash on hand, however, which it plans to use in part to pay down its debts.
