White House goofs on press briefing announcement

The White House made a slip-up when announcing a time change in its daily press briefing, e-mailing reporters that former press secretary Robert Gibbs would be taking the podium.

Gibbs's last day was Feb. 11. New White House press secretary Jay Carney took the job on the following Monday, and took to the podium for the first time Feb. 16.

The White House e-mailed reporters four minutes later to say that Carney would be briefing the press.
